Farm Sustainability Readiness Tool provides farmers with information and resources to support farm-level sustainability decisions.
It was developed by a working group of four crop commissions, Alberta Barley, Alberta Canola, Alberta Pulse Growers and the Alberta Wheat Commission, in conjunction with Alberta Agriculture and Forestry. The tool was produced in partnership with Groupe AGÉCO, a consulting firm specialized in economic studies and corporate social responsibility with in-depth knowledge of the Canadian agriculture sector.

The Farm Sustainability Readiness Tool and its results are not a substitute for any audit process, nor does it ensure compliance with the FSA (3.0), ISCC 202-2 (V1.1), or ULSAC (2017) programs. The Farm Sustainability Readiness Tool is a self-assessment and action plan tool that provides a gap analysis and tips to evaluate a farm’s performance against these programs. The performance score is for information only because it is based on an interpretation of these programs. While effort has been made to avoid errors and present accurate information, the results must be understood accordingly.
Refer to the FSA (3.0), ISCC 202-2 (V1.1), and ULSAC (2017) documents for comprehensive descriptions of the programs and their requirements:
